Description

Joint Formula: Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM, Rosehip + Vitamin C

Glucosamine

Glucosamine (C6H13NO5) is an organic compound. Glucosamine is a natural component of cartilage tissue. It is not commonly found in everyday foods. In supplements, glucosamine is typically extracted from the shells of marine shellfish.

Chondroitin

Chondroitin is one of the main components of cartilage, characterized by its excellent water-binding capacity. It is primarily recommended for athletes, older adults, and people performing physically demanding work.

MSM

MSM, or methylsulfonylmethane, may sound like a synthetic compound, but it is in fact a naturally occurring organic sulfur compound found in the human diet and in all vertebrate nutrition, and is present in all living organisms. The richest natural source of organic sulfur is breast milk. The second richest source is rainwater (from which it enters the food chain). Organic sulfur is found in various foods such as pungent vegetables, especially broccoli, cabbage, onions, garlic, horseradish, and mustard. It is also present in meat, eggs, seaweed, kelp, and algae.

Why and when is supplementation recommended?

Under normal conditions, people who eat a healthy and balanced diet would not be expected to suffer from sulfur deficiency. However, our diet has changed significantly over the past few centuries. Unfortunately, many people today consume very few fresh vegetables and therefore do not obtain sufficient amounts. Processed foods contain virtually no sulfur. Food processing, preservation, cooking, and baking destroy the organic sulfur compounds they contain. Yet the human body needs it, as organic sulfur works in synergy with vitamins and amino acids.

Where is it found in the body?

MSM is an important component in the human body. It is present in almost every cell. It is found in the highest concentrations in the skin, hair, nails, bones, muscles, and joints. Therefore, if you wish to supplement it, it is recommended to consume more raw vegetables from the list mentioned above. If this is not possible, it can be taken as a dietary supplement. The three ingredients above are recommended to be taken together.

Rosehip

This product is special because, in addition to the usual ingredients, it also contains rosehip. Rosehip is one of the best natural sources of vitamin C.

Joint Formula with Vitamin C

Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation and thereby helps maintain the normal condition and function of cartilage.
